Why Buildings Matter

The Story of Three Buildings – Exodus 25, 35, 36; 2 Chronicles 29

This is week two in our series Transforming the Next Generation. Our desire in this series is to explore how GCC might be an agent in transforming the next generation of children and youth in our city. Last week we looked at the reality that God loves to pour out his Spirit on young people, empowering them for influence. He did this with Daniel and his friends. This week we look at the context where transformation takes place: physical spaces...all types of physical spaces...even buildings! God loves to manifest his presence in places that are set aside for his use.

Weekly Devotional

Scripture: “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it.” Ps. 127:1 KJV

Prayer: Lord, we are humbly praying for your kingdom power to break through as we trust you to transform the next generation at Grace. We want this to be your plan, not ours, your house not a mere human construction. Father, please let our labor not be in vain as we partner with you to build this. Let each of us hear from you about our part is as we build.

Scripture: “The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord.” 1 Chron. 29:9 NIV

Prayer: Father thank you for staff and elders and their willing response to listen to you and the direction you have given for Grace.  May we all continue to rejoice and give as they have, freely and wholeheartedly, to you for your plan.
