Easter Sunday - If You Seek Me, You Will Find Me

John 20:1-18

Mary Magdalene is a mysterious character in the New Testament. Before she came to Christ, she encountered tremendous pain (Luke 8:2), but it seems as if the pain produced a hunger for Jesus (John 20:1). She only appears a handful of times in the gospels, but when she is mentioned in a list of Jesus’ female followers, her name always appears first and always positively. The resurrection story in the Gospel of John focuses primarily on her, and she tells us the importance of seeking.
