Who is it You Seek?

Allowing Jesus to transform our motives (John 18:1-12a)

How do you approach Jesus? Do you come before him with a sense of confidence and gratitude? Or do you approach him with a sense of duty, fear, or resentment? Today we return to our series in John’s Gospel in time for Jesus’ arrest. In this passage, we’ll see that each person was “seeking Jesus,” but in each case their motives that stood in need of transformation. As we study this passage, ask yourself: Where am I within this story?
